Sunrise
Rawat Mishthan Bhandar should be the first destination on your 24-hour Jaipur itinerary. They are known for serving the greatest kachoris in town and are located near the city’s railway station. This flaky, fried nibble is a savory delicacy, packed with delicious zinginess that has made Rawat a city legend. The restaurant opens at 6 a.m., so get there early to avoid the throng and enjoy the dawn at Jaipur’s most gorgeous area, the promenade facing the Jal Mahal.
This entire strip, which runs alongside Man Sagar Lake, comes alive in the morning with the sounds of birds and municipal workers sweeping the area. Jal Mahal, a five-story palace erected in 1799 in the middle of the lake, is no longer open to the public. Three levels of this exquisite Rajasthani home lie beneath when the lake is full, but its attraction attracts thousands of tourists who come to see it from afar.
Morning
It’s time to get out and tour Jaipur’s highest fort, Amer Fort, after you’ve worked off your breakfast. This hilltop fort, built by the Meenas in the 960s, is a quintessential reminder of Jaipur’s historical significance. Visitors can either climb the 200 steps or ride a ramp on the back of an elephant to tour the fort. Amer Fort is a network of halls, courtyards, and tunnels on the inside, each with its own purpose, gorgeous design, and fascinating stories. While it’s easy to spend a half-day admiring Amer’s marvels like the Sheesh Mahal, a palace of mirrors, if you’re short on time, a couple of hours will suffice to get a sense of the fort’s vibrant history.
Take a short trip to the neighboring Panna Meena ka Kund after visiting Amer Fort. Stepwells were an important aspect of life in Rajasthan, and the architectural design and construction of these water reservoirs were spectacular. Panna Meena ka Kund was constructed in the 16th century and served as a community gathering area. The symmetry of the stepwell makes it a great photo spot, even though it is now deserted.
Noon
It takes around a half-hour to drive from Amer to the Pink City. All of the houses and buildings within the gates of Jaipur are painted a specific shade of pink. Three of Jaipur’s most prominent tourist attractions are also located here.
The Jantar Mantar, City Palace, and Hawa Mahal are all classic architectural wonders that will astonish and enchant you. Because the three buildings are so near together, it’s easiest to park in one location and walk between them. Furthermore, they are the most popular tourist attractions in Jaipur, so going early can provide you a more peaceful and less crowded experience.
The Palace of Winds is one of Jaipur’s most well-known landmarks. It includes 953 small windows, known as jharokhas, that were once used by royal women to view processions on the road. They are decorated in a traditional Rajasthani style. Climb to the top of the Hawa Mahal for spectacular views of the city.
Afternoon
It’s time to go shopping once you’ve seen the three monuments. Both Johri Bazaar and Bappu Bazaar are close by, with small shops selling anything from Rajasthani jutis to homemade souvenirs like tie and die umbrellas, blue earthenware, and embroidered bed linen. Because everything is so bright and lovely in Jaipur, shopping may be incredibly enticing.
Remember to haggle a little because most places raise their pricing when they cater to tourists. If you don’t want to spend any time, picking up some snacks while strolling through the bazaars in the afternoon is a good way to stay energized.
Night
After all of the traveling and sightseeing, it’s time to unwind with a quiet meal. Shikaar Bagh offers a lovely and peaceful environment, with a lodge-like structure and a small garden in front. Inside, diners can sit in a hunting lodge-style lounge with historic guns on show in display cabinets.
They can also take advantage of the nice weather by sitting in one of the carriages that has been turned into a sitting booth. Shikaar Bagh’s cuisine includes both international and Indian cuisines. It’s the ideal way to end your day in Jaipur by ordering their roast chicken broth, maas ka soola kebabs, and bacon and pepperoni pizza.
